Equality Impact Assessment: March Support Session

An Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) helps the University make sure our policies, procedures and practices do what they are intended to do and are inclusive for staff, students and visitors. They also enable us to provide an audit trail that we have met our legal obligations.

EIAs allow us to look for opportunities to promote equality that may have previously been missed or could be better used, as well as negative or adverse impacts that can be removed or mitigated, where possible. EDI Hub

By carrying out EIAs, you are working in line with and being compliant with the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) in the Equality Act 2010 in England, Scotland, and Wales. The duty places the requirement on public authorities and institutions to take action to reduce inequalities in their area.

To support you with understanding and acting on your responsibilities and obligations, EDI services hold monthly EIA support sessions.

The next session will take place on Thursday 13 March in Rutland Building, 0.12a from 1pm-4pm. To book your slot, please complete this
