Programme Quality and Teaching Partnerships
The PQTP office has responsibility for programme and module administration and for quality assurance policy and procedures. This includes responsibility for programmes delivered in partnership with other organisations.
Quality Assurance processes
Responsible for institutional engagement with the following externally managed processes:
- External Review of Teaching Quality (TEF, OfS, QAA)
- National Student Survey
- Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey
- Accreditation by Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies
Responsible for management of the following internally managed processes:
- Academic Quality Procedures Handbook (the central source of information for policies and procedures which support the University assure the quality and standards of its learning, teaching and supervision)
- Annual Programme Review
- Quadrennial Review Learning and Teaching Workstream
- The programme and module approval process
- The annual update of programme and module specifications
- Policy for External Examiner appointments and scrutiny of reports

Appeals and Complaints
Management of:
- Regulation XIV appeals against Programme and Review Board Decisions
- Regulation XVIII Academic Misconduct appeals procedures for taught students
- Ordinance XVII Disciplinary Appeals procedures for students
Contributing to the operation of the University's Student Complaints procedures (Ordinance XXXVIII) for cases raised by students under the guidance of the Academic Registrar. Contributing to the responses to student cases being reviewed by the OIA under the guidance of the Academic Registrar.
Disclosure and Barring Services
Management of the procedures relating to authorization of DBS applications from students, including PGCE students.
Duties undertaken under the management of the Student Office
- Graduation (ticketing, external guests and VIPs)
