The concert will take place on Wednesday 4 December, 7.30pm in Cope Auditorium (Edward Barnsley) and is open to staff, students and members of the public. Tickets are tickets are £7 or £5 for students and under 16’s.
The programme is packed with traditional carols, lesser-known pieces, new versions of familiar carols and light-hearted Christmas music. There’s also the opportunity for some audience participation.
Included in the programme are the much-loved ‘Nativity Carol’ by John Rutter and the less familiar ‘Carolling Nowell’ by Richard Roddis – a former conductor of the University Choir.
The Choir will be accompanied by a small ensemble of members.
The University Choir is made up of students, staff, alumni and members of the local community. They rehearse on Monday evenings during term time and welcome new members.
