July Compliance Focus: Action Required

As part of our July Compliance Focus initiative, we need your urgent attention to complete the following compliance activities by 31 July:

Mandatory Training 

Completing mandatory training modules ensures a safe, compliant, and inclusive workplace. We will focus on the core five mandatory training modules. 

  • Action Required: If you receive an email from Organisational Development regarding outstanding mandatory training modules, please complete the training as soon as possible. 

Update Personal Details 

Updating your personal details is crucial for fulfilling our obligations to the Higher Education Statistical Agency (HESA) and other legal requirements, including equity and diversity monitoring. Accurate information is essential for us to meet these obligations effectively. 

Annual Conflict of Interest (COI) Declaration 

Staff Grade 6 and above are required to complete an annual ‘Conflict of Interest’ declaration to ensure potential conflicts are identified and managed transparently. Even if you do not have a current conflict, it is important to submit a declaration to confirm this. 

All staff are still required to declare and manage existing and new conflicts as they become apparent throughout the year. The definitions of different types of Conflicts of Interest can be found by visiting the Guidance page. 

  • Action Required  
  1. Log in to My.HR. 
  2. Navigate to the View Profile or My Profile section. 
  3. Under Confidential Information, select Sensitive Information and Conflict of Interest. 
  4. Update your personal details. 
  5. Complete the Conflict of Interest questions under Additional Fields. 
  6. Press Save to update your personal details and submit the annual declaration.
