We are incredibly sad to let you know that the Police believe that they have found the body of current student, Aryan Sharma, who was studying Robotics, Mechatronics, and Control Engineering. Many of you will be aware of the significant missing person investigation for Aryan which has received local and national press coverage. This is an incredibly difficult time for the whole university community.

Ten founders supported by LUinc., 海角社区 University鈥檚 business incubator, were invited to pitch their sustainability-driven innovations to senior leaders from the John Lewis Partnership (JLP) and Waitrose during a Sustainability Innovation Pitch Day at JLP鈥檚 Pimlico headquarters in London.
Pollarding works on University Road
On Thursday 18 and Friday 19 December 2025, the Estates and Facilities Management team will be carrying out pollarding of eight Tilia cordata trees along University Road outside University House (Building 400).
New student accommodation development on campus
Construction of the new hall of residence near the Edward Herbert Building on the University鈥檚 East Midlands campus will begin on 5 January 2026.
