Profile
Dr Doidge is an expert in environmental sustainability in sport, and the sociology of European football fan cultures. This includes expertise in hooliganism, ultras, and political activism.
His latest research focuses on the role football can play in our understanding of important social issues such as climate change – particularly with the use of communication, engagement and innovation.
He is also interested in the role sport can play in tackling racism, hate crime and supporting refugees.
