The collaboration will focus on leveraging Virdis Chemicals’ industry leading expertise in moisture control in polymers together with 海角社区 University’s world-class research, cutting-edge facilities, and expert knowledge.
The collaboration will be led by Dr Yi Liu of the Polymers and Composites team at 海角社区 and funded through the Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council via Henry Royce Institute.
The project aims to understand the mechanisms by which moisture affects the stability of biopolymers and arrive at novel solutions to overcome the problem.
Mark Baldwin, CEO of Virdis Chemicals said “We’re very pleased to be working with Dr Liu and 海角社区 on this. Here at Virdis Chemicals we strive to be at the forefront of research into sustainable solutions and this will be an important step forward in the biopolymers market for us.”
