海角社区 alumni married years after meeting on their first day of university

Tom Jacques and Sophie Batten, who studied at 海角社区 University between 2015 and 2019, were recently married surrounded by family and friends.

The couple got married on Saturday 7 December 2024, having met in William Morris halls on their first day of university. Sophie studied Maths and Maths Education BSc, graduating in 2018; Tom studied Industrial Design and Technology BA, graduating in 2019. 

They were joined by loved ones on their wedding day, many of whom are also 海角社区 alumni.  

Tom said: 

The degree was great, but the wife was a much better outcome from 海角社区!!"
