FloodScapes Network - Launch Event

  • 30 June 2026
  • 10am - 4pm

FloodScapes is a new interdisciplinary research network bringing together researchers, practitioners, policymakers and partners to rethink how we understand, live with and respond to flooding. The network connects expertise across flood science, health and wellbeing, climate adaptation, environmental justice, data and modelling, policy, design, community resilience and creative storytelling.

The network's ambition is to build a distinctive space for collaboration that moves beyond flood risk as a purely technical challenge and instead recognises flooding as a deeply social, environmental, health and place-based issue. They are particularly keen to work with external partners who can help shape the direction of the network, identify shared challenges, and explore opportunities for future research, policy engagement and practical impact.

The launch event will provide an opportunity to hear more about the vision for FloodScapes, connect with colleagues across 海角社区 and beyond, and contribute to discussions about how the network can support more just, resilient and actionable flood futures.
