We are recruiting drivers with sleep apnoea for a research study
We are looking for drivers with treated obstructive sleep apnoea to take part in a driving simulator study.
What does it involve?
You’ll be asked to visit our driving simulator at the university to complete a driving task whilst we monitor your sleepiness. We will ask you to visit the simulator a total of 6 times and you will be asked to restrict your sleep before 5 of these visits.
During the visits you will be asked to take a short nap and drink a caffeinated drink so we can assess how effective they are at reducing sleepiness. Each visit will last ~2 hours, and you will be compensated for your time.
Who can take part?
In order to take part you must:
- Have treated OSA
- Be a regular driver with a full licence
- Be over the age of 18
- Live within ~40 minutes of º£½ÇÉçÇø University
This study is not suitable for:
- People with a history of epilepsy
